India marks over 10,000 COVID 19 cases

India has recorded 29 deaths related to the novel coronavirus pandemic in the last 24 hours, yesterday(14). While the death toll has reached 353, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases has crossed the 10,000-mark with over 1,400 cases in a single day. reported India Heath Ministry.

As per the latest figures by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, yesterday(14), the total number of coronavirus positive cases has climbed to 10,815. These include 9,272 active cases while over a thousand have cured or discharged.

Over 50 deaths have been reported, of which 22 were from Maharashtra, seven each from Madhya Pradesh and Telengana, five from Delhi, four from Gujarat, two from West Bengal and one each from Kerela, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand.

Of the total deaths, Maharashtra tops the tally with 160 fatalities, followed by Madhya Pradesh at 50, Gujarat at 26, Delhi at 28 and Telengana at 17. Punjab has registered 12 deaths while Tamil Nadu has registered 11 followed by Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka with 9 deaths each and West Bengal with 7.
