Another seven persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus yesterday (13) raising the total to 217, said the Health Services Director-General Dr. Anil Jasinghe.
The Ministry of Health confirmed that these new patients are also from the Punani quarantine centre.
The four detected today were under quarantine at the Punani Quarantine Centre as they had closely associated with a Covid-19 positive patient from Beruwala.
As of 7.00 p.m. yesterday(13), a total of 154 patients (active cases) are under medical care while 56 Coronavirus infected patients have made a full recovery and have been discharged from hospital..
The death toll due to Covid-19 in Sri Lanka currently stands at 07.
