Ministry of Health confirmed that Seven more persons had tested positive for the Coronavirus at of 10.30 pm Yesterday (04). Accordingly, the total number of COVID-19 positive patients in the country stands at 166. (It was 159, 03 April)

According to the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 130 patients are currently under medical care at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH), Base Hospital in Welikanda and Colombo East Base Hospital.

 while 27 patients have been recovered by now in Sri Lanka including the Chinese female.

Five COVID-19 patients have succumbed to the deadly virus in Sri Lanka with the death of a 44-year-old male who had recently arrived from Italy.

As of now, 1,741 persons are still in quarantine in 40 island-wide facilities and one more group of 155 are scheduled to leave tomorrow (04), says the Commander of Army.

The Government of Sri Lanka imposed the curfew and banned movement between districts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Curfew schedule

Curfew for all districts excluding Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Puttalam, Kanday and Jafna will be in effect until 06AM on 06th of April.
